Our Fee Fee’s Republic

The effects of globalization and wealth inequality are very real and very painful for many Americans, but it is ludicrous to see Trump as the answer. Especially in the 2024 election, when he had a clear record of failure from his first term and was stating outright how horrible he would be in a second term. On top of that, the man was, and is, clearly showing dementia. Any objective assessment, then or now, says there is a good chance he won’t be cognitively strong enough to finish a second term.

The truth is, too many Americans vote primarily on their feelings and then stand by that, consequences be damned. That is a great way to lose a democracy.
